What a Blustery day!

On December 1 we had level 1 Hurricane Winds! it was CRAzY! Alot happened that day and Tyson and I documented nearly every bit of it! :) Here are a bunch of photos and funny stories of what happened on this Blustery day! :)

 Weber state is currently building some sort of building... the wind nocked down a cement wall and all of their building materials are tipped over and spread all over. sad. would hate to have that be my job site!

To start the morning off i called my friend krystal to see if she was on campus, because i wasn't sure if campus was open or not because of the winds.  She was freaking out to me over the phone... and no i am not exaggerating...
"KEILEY! there are paramedics and fire trucks EVERYWHERE! There are shingles FLYING over my head! THERE IS A GRANDFATHER TREE IN THE ROAD!!!!!!! ..." she said more but i cant remember right now.. ha ha

When Tyson and I drove up 35th street we look at each other and i was like "Its like we are driving through a cemetery... for Trees!!!"

Tyson and i wanted breakfast... so we went to Burger King.. and they had no power- so then we went to McDonalds... we were going to go inside, but it was closed too! When i got into the car my car door froze shut or something... i COULD NOT open it! anyways... back to McDonalds... when we realized McDonalds was closed- we knew this wind storm was a big deal.. it has to take something BIG for the BIG M to shut down ha ha ha

When i was on Weber States campus they shut down parts of campus, so i had to go the long way to the building where i was headed... while i was on my way the wind LIFTED me up! it was so scary/funny... i probably looked like an IDIOT. i was like laughing by myself and running with the wind ha ha ha.... just glad no one took a video of me and posted it on youtube like this girl....

Happy Thanksgiving!

I am grateful for many things this thanksgiving! But one thing keeps coming to my mind... I am so grateful for my little brother Hunter.  Hunter was speeding and rolled his car. Luckily he was wearing a seatbelt! He and his friends walked away, and only one had a scratch on him. A week later there was a report that two girls got in a similar accident and one didn't make it. That could have been him! So, this is what i'm most grateful for today! That when i go to my parents house today to have thanksgiving, i can give him a big hug and bug the crap out of him :)

New shoes & Foot Zoning

I went running early this morning before work wearing different shoes than i do normally... i have five pairs of running shoes in my closet.. i have IQ, new balance, rebook, Mizuno's, and Nike.... So i tried my IQ ones today, they were my very last running shoe purchase... but they are just so heavy so i haven't worn them much... but by the end of my run i was crying and limping from pain! ugh!!!!! ( oh and also had to sprint to my car in agony because i realized what time it was and was supposed to be to work in like 30 minutes and i was 15 minutes from home ha ha)


My moms friend does Foot Zoning, and she says it can help cure chronic migraines, back pain etc... So i made an appointment to get my foot zoned this week... :) keep your fingers crossed! Maybe it will help with my foot pain AND my back pain! One could only hope. :)


Also, i went back to Striders and told them all about my foot pain (for the bazillionth time) and i found some shoes that feel promising! Im super nervous to go on my morning run tomorrow! if my feet end up hurting after $117.00 i paid tonight... i will LITERALLY throw myself into the Ogden River!!!!! oh my goodness! Keep your fingers crossed for me! :)

Shoes....

Anybody know any good places to get customized running shoes? I have such a hard time with my feet! grr! When i go running, about fifteen minutes into the run, the bottom of my feet start hurting! It feels like my bones are poking out or something! then it shoots pain up into my hip! its ridiculous! I love running but its so painful! ha ha ha I have had one pair of shoes that have helped me but now they are starting to hurt me now too! I went to striders with that pair of shoes, and they dont make that exact kind anymore (just my luck). Anyways... ugh. So if anyone knows anywhere that might be able to help me customize a good running shoe for me, please let me know! :)

Hello DISNEY.

So why didnt anyone tell me Disneyland and Disney World has half marathons?! UM HELLo!?!!?!! So.. YES! That will be added to my half marathon list for this year! woohoo! My Brother Tyson is going to do it too. (who knows how he is going to fund that... he cant even pay me half of rent! hahaha) Anyone else interested in doing this?! This would be so much fun... and a really good reason to go to DISNEY!!!!!! All in all there are no cons to this half marathon! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! so excited!!!!

So it's official! I will be running in the Ogden half marathon next may! Woohoo! :) Im also doing the Striders Winter Circuit to prepare! Super excited!

Christmas Hangover...

Yes. I know that it is only November... 6th? But you know what... I LOVE CHRISTMAS?! What so wrong with that? I love the lights, the smells... just the overall feeling of Christmas! I blame the snow to be quite honest... once the snow falls.. i start to get the "christmas itch". Well, today i was sitting at home... looking at the snow... ha ha. I pulled out my christmas box. You know, just to look. BAD IDEA. I have lights up in my windows... i have christmas nick nacks everywhere! If i had a tree... Im sure it would be up! Luckily... I wont be buying it till.. THURSDAY. ha ha :)
Im super excited for my tree this year! I don't have to keep in neutral for a husband.. I can make it as girly as I want! SO!  I plan to have a bigTurquoise ribbon, zebra ornament balls and clear ornament balls that has photos inside them with zebra ribbons. :) it'll be super cute!  I want it to scream KEILEY.
So. Ya.. I've been on pinterest for about an hour or two and after i pinned till i could pin no more.. the christmas haze i've been under since 7:00 (its now 10:16) left me.. and i looked around and was like oh my goodness! what have i done?! Its the Christmas Hangover. ha ha A friend of mine told me i need a Christmas AA group. I agree.
Oh! Also! I will be having a super awesome Christmas Party this year! Ugly sweater and Ugliest Christmas Ornament! WOOT WOOT! :) Looking forward to the Season! just got to get Turkey day over and done with ha ha ha! jk i love thanksgiving!  :)

Take me out to the ball game....

So lately... I've been a little obsessed with Baseball. I LOVE IT SO FREAKING MUCH! but.. i dont really know or understand all the rules yet ha ha
It all started when we went to St. louis to see some family. We went to a Cardinals Game... i loved it!!!! Now because thats the game i went to, thats the Team i root for... but they are a really good team! and plus what kind of older cousin would i be if i chose a different team than my little 6 year old cousin? :) Anyways, i have an iPhone App that sends me updates of when games start, when scores have changed, and when a game ends... I also went on a date to a baseball game! it was amazing! the guy wasn't too bad either ;) ha ha I just love it!!!! i watch ESPN too! if you would have told me that i would ever WILLINGLY want to watch ESPN i would say " YOU CRAZY"!!!! ha ha :) but alas.. i love it so much! So... if anyones interested in going to a raptors game... let me know! :D

Crafts and Pinterest! :)

I have found this new website www.pinterest.com... im a woman obsessed! I have found so many great ideas on this website! Here are a few pictures of ones that i have done, and ones i am planning to do! :)

This first one is really cool. It is a 24" Paper Lantern, then I hot glued close to 500 coffee filters onto it then i got a teal and black poka dotted ribbon to hang it from.

This next one is a Make up magnet board. This project is under construction. I went to Home Depot Today, and got some sheet metal, but they didnt cut it to the size i wanted, and its a weird size... so i couldnt find a frame for it. So for now i just have the sheet hanging on my wall. But Also i found some lace that i am going to buy and put over the metal sheet. but i have to decide what color to do, there was a plum colored lace or a teal colored lace. I would rather do the teal, but i cant find teal bath rugs, and toilet seat cover thing that i love! so im just waiting till i find what i want to do.
So the first picture is from Pinterest, and is what i want it to resemble when i am done, and the second one is my sad little piece of sheet metal! lol

The next one is a picture of some curtains... Im super excited to make these :) Im going to do Teal, and Zebra print for sure, other than that Im not sure... ha ha :)

New job :)

So recently i have been both a CNA, and I have been working in the Activities department... but now i am in just the activities department! :) I really like it, but at the same time I dont... I miss being a CNA... SAY WHAT?!?!?! ha ha i know i know... I had such a good schedule, i didn't work any sundays! and i could get mostly any day off! now, i have to work like every other sunday, and i have the hardest time getting time off! :( But i do like the job, and i work with one of my friends... so it works! plus ive gotten to know the residents alot more than i did before :) so its fun! :)

He is We Concert!

So Kellie, Krystal and i got tickets to see He is We a few weeks ago. Well today was the concert, I had the tickets in my wallet, so i wouldn't forget them when it was time to go tonight. I went to the bank and got $50.00 cash for the concert while on my lunch break.
I was in charge of the afternoon activity which was root beer floats, and when it was time for the activity we realized that the root beer was gone, so I got my wallet out and gave money to the girl i was training and had her go get us some. I remember putting my wallet back into my bag and putting it under the desk.. out of sight.. or so i thought... When it was time to go home an hour and a half later I went to find my wallet, and it wasn't in my purse, or anywhere in the office. I spent two hours looking for my wallet. Still have not been able to find it. Pretty sure someone came in and stole it- there is no other reasoning in my mind- if i misplaced it it would still be in the Activities office... So i dont know...
I tried to go buy more tickets to He is We, but they are all sold out! So we went down there anyways to see if they would let us in, and the venue people told us no. So we went and bought some merchandise, and one of the band members was out there signing stuff for people who couldn't get tickets to the show. We told him what had happened and he was like are you being serious right now? we said yes, so he called the tour manager over and then he was able to get us into the show! How cool is that!? so besides my wallet and all my stuff and money being stolen, it was a pretty good night... lol

Family Vaca to Jackson Hole, Yellowstone, and Island Park :)

Our Family from Missouri came out here, and we went to Jackson Hole, and drove through Grand Teton National park, and Yellowstone National Park and ended up at our Cabin in Island Park. :) Here are some Pictures from our trip :)

This place is just so beautiful! Its called Big Springs. We go there to feed the fish, the fish are HUGE! like HUGE! but they were too cold to come out from under the bridge, so i didnt get a pic of one! it was like 30 degrees this day with wind too! not cool.

There were some segulls in the water, so we decided to feed them instead.
